About Christian

Christian Martucci began his career in the early 90’s punk scene, eventually landing the gig as Dee Dee Ramone’s guitarist/vocalist until 2002. After Ramones passing he formed the Chelsea Smiles with Todd Youth (Murphy’s Law, Danzig, DGeneration) and secured his first major recording contract with Capitol Records. The band released their debut EP, produced by Jerry Finn, and toured the US extensively with the New York Dolls, Social Distortion, Backyard Babies and countless others.

After the initial breakup of the Chelsea Smiles, he joined punk rock supergroup Black President featuring Greg Hetson (Circle Jerks, Bad Religion) and future Stone Sour bandmate Roy Mayorga (Nausea, Soulfly). The band released one album in 2008 and toured with Bad Brains, Suicidal Tendencies, TSOL, and Bouncing Souls; eventually calling it quits due to the members main projects taking full priority.

Shortly after he began performing solo shows with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, which led to a full time position in Grammy nominated hard rock band Stone Sour in 2013. Martucci appears on several Stone Sour releases, including the #1 album Hydrograd.

During Stone Sours current hiatus, Martucci spends a majority of his time as lead guitarist in Corey Taylors solo band CMFT, Black Star Riders, and side project Dirty O’Keeffe featuring Dave Raun (Lagwagon) and Billy Gould (Faith No More); spending the better part of 2021 building a professional studio in Central Oregon where he works full time as an audio engineer.

‘I’ve been very fortunate to make albums with legendary producers like Michael Beinhorn, the late great Jerry Finn, Jay Ruston, any many others. My production, engineering and mixing style reflects what I’ve seen and heard in countless studios over the past 30 years.’
